Short distances fares, it’s difficult to calculate because of the traffic jam delays.
Crete taxi fare analysis
- Starting charge: 1,30 €
- Tariff 2 charge applies to long-distance fares(out of the city center borders)
- Daytime charge (tariff 1) : 0,74 €/km. The daytime charge applies from 05:00 to 24:00. The taxi meter should be at tariff 1.
- Night-time charge (tariff 2): 1,30 €/km. The nighttime charge applies from 24:00 to 05:00. The taxi meter should be at tariff 2.
- Extra charge for every luggage heavier than 10 kg: 0,43 €
- Minimum charge for the rest of the country: 3,72
- Pick up/drop off charge for airports: 2.85 €
